Girlfriend Of Romance

Stories similar to this that you might like too.

A girl who loves romance novels, and a boy with an obsession for them. They meet at the library where she works part-time as a librarian and they become friends, but when he confesses his love to her, will she accept him?

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.” He said in apology. “But it’s been hard keeping this secret from everyone else…”

She smiled up at me. “It was no big deal. You just surprised me is all.” She replied. We had been dating for about two months now, and we were both still very much in love with each other. But there was one problem…

“You see,” I began again, “I’ve always loved reading books since I could remember. And ever since that day, whenever I go into any bookstore or library, I can never help myself from picking up a book on romance novels!”

She giggled lightly. “That’s cute! So what kind of stories do you like?”

“All kinds really. The more romantic ones are my favorites though.”

Her smile grew wider than before. “So which ones have you read so far?”

I thought back to the many I’d already read over the years. There was one series in particular that stood out among them all: A collection of four books by an author named Milly Taiden called ‘The Heroine Chronicles’.

Each story told the tale of a young woman who met a handsome man, fell in love with him, and then eventually married him. It was filled with beautiful descriptions of how their relationship blossomed into something special and even included some steamy scenes between them.

“Well, I haven’t finished reading all of them yet, but I think my favorite would be the first one in the series.”

“Oh yeah?! Which one is that?!” She asked excitedly.

“It’s called ‘Harmony’!”

“Really?!” She exclaimed, sounding impressed. “What happens in it?”

“Well…” I started, trying not to blush as I recounted the events of the book. “…it starts off with a young woman named Harmony meeting a mysterious stranger while working at a bookstore. After talking to him for a bit, she finds herself falling head over heels in love with him. Eventually, after spending time together, they decide to get married.”

“Wow! That sounds amazing!” Her eyes sparkled with excitement. “Sounds like such a great story too! What happened next?”

I took a deep breath. “After getting married, things start to change between them. At first, everything seems fine, but soon enough, he begins acting distant and cold towards her. When she confronts him about it, he tells her that he doesn’t want to hurt her feelings anymore because he knows how much she cares about him, and that if anything were to happen to him, she’ll probably end up crying. So instead of hurting her heart, he decides to keep his distance from her until she gets used to the idea of being without him.”

“Ouch…” She sighed sadly. “That must have been hard for her…”

“Yeah…but luckily, she found someone else to take care of her.” I continued. “And because of that, she finally forgave him for what he did to her.”

“Wow…that’s pretty intense.” She murmured. “Didn’t know you liked those types of stories.”

“Not bad huh?” I chuckled. “I guess it’s just nice to find a good romance novel once in a while. Makes me feel less alone.”

“You’re not alone.” She reassured me, giving me a warm hug. “I’m here for you.”

“Thanks,” I whispered, hugging her back. “I appreciate that.”

We stayed like that for a few minutes, enjoying the warmth of our embrace. Then, suddenly, I felt her lips press against mine. Instinctively, I pulled away from her.

“Wait…” I stammered. “I don’t want to rush things. I mean, we only just got married today…”

“I know.” She nodded. “But I wanted to give you a kiss anyway.”

My heart skipped a beat. “Are you sure?”

“Of course I am.” She grinned. “Besides, I promised you one last night, didn’t I?”

“Y-yeah…” I blushed. “But I wasn’t expecting you to actually follow through with it.”

“I won’t make another promise unless I intend to keep it.” She winked. “Now come on, let’s go home. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.”

I couldn’t help but grin back at her. “Okay, then. Let’s go home.”

As we walked down the street, holding hands, I looked over at her. I knew she was tired from all the wedding preparations, so I decided to walk slowly beside her. Just as I was thinking this, she turned around and kissed me on the cheek.

“Thank you for marrying me.” She said softly.

“Don’t mention it,” I replied, smiling back at her. “I’m glad to be your husband.”

“Me too.” She smiled. “I’ve never been happier.”

“Good.” I squeezed her hand gently. “Because I plan on making you happy every single day of our lives together.”

“I can’t wait.” She purred.

We kept walking side by side, enjoying each other’s company. As we passed a small park, I noticed a group of children playing nearby. They seemed to be having fun chasing each other around and laughing loudly. Suddenly, I heard one little boy yell out, “Look, Mommy! It’s a girl!”

The mother who had been watching them quickly ran over to them, scolding them harshly. The kids immediately quieted down and began apologizing to her. Seeing this, I stopped and watched the scene unfold before me.

“Why are they yelling?” I asked.

“They’re teasing the new kid.” She explained. “Kids do that sometimes when there’s a newcomer.”

“Do you mind if I join them?” I asked.

She paused for a moment, looking at me curiously. “Sure.”

So I went over to the group of children and joined their game. Soon enough, everyone was running around with me. We played tag and hide-and-seek and even made up some silly games of our own. By the time we finished, I could tell that the kids had had a lot of fun.

“Hey, guys!” One of the boys called out to us. “It’s lunchtime! Why don’t we go grab something to eat?”

“Sounds good.” Another child agreed.

“Then let’s get going!” Their mother shouted.

Once again, the children started to run off towards the nearest restaurant. I followed behind them, still carrying my wife’s hand. After a while, we arrived at the place where they’d chosen to have their meal.

“Let’s sit outside,” the boy suggested. “There’s more space to play.”

His suggestion was met with approval from the others, so we all sat down on the grass under a large tree. There were about ten of us altogether. Some of the children were eating sandwiches, while the rest of us munched on some fries. Once we finished, we spent a bit of time talking and laughing. But eventually, we all grew tired and decided to head back home.

“See ya later!” The boy who had invited me to join them waved goodbye.

“Bye!” All of his friends echoed.

“Later!” I added, waving back at them.

After saying our farewells, the children headed off in different directions. My wife and I continued to walk along the sidewalk until we reached our house. When we got inside, I helped her take off her shoes and put them away. Then, after taking a quick shower, I came downstairs wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around my waist.

“Hi, honey!” She greeted me cheerfully. “How did everything go?”

“Pretty well,” I answered. “I got to meet a bunch of kids and play with them for a bit.”

“That sounds nice.” She smiled. “Did any of them ask you what you do for work?”

“Yeah.” I nodded. “One of them asked me why I was always so clean.”

“Oh?” She raised an eyebrow. “What did you say?”

“Well, I told him that I wash because I like how fresh and clean I feel afterward.” I shrugged. “He thought that was pretty funny, so he laughed a lot.”

“Mmhmm.” She hummed. “And what else happened?”

“I also talked to one of the girls for a while.” I continued. “Her name is Katie. She seems really sweet.”

My wife giggled. “You’re such a sucker.”

“I am not!” I protested. “Anyway, I think I’ll call it a night now. Goodnight.”

“Night.” She smiled warmly at me. “I love you, baby.”

“Love you too,” I replied as she leaned forward and gave me a kiss.

As soon as our lips touched, I felt electricity shoot through my body. I couldn’t help but groan into her mouth, which only turned her on even more. Her tongue danced against mine, sending shivers throughout my entire being.

When we finally broke apart, I looked deep into her eyes and saw that she was just as aroused as I was. So I grabbed hold of her hips and pulled her close, kissing her deeply once again. Our tongues wrestled with each other in a heated battle for dominance.

The End
